Terie Fightmaster, a Barefoot Masters® instructor. She is a licensed massage therapist in the state of California. And she is a 20 year veteran of massage therapy. Deep tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial massage were her most popular services. She worked both in private practice and at demanding 5-star hotel and spas.
All have taken a toll on her body. Over the years she has studied many modalities and techniques. And she has traveled the world in search the best educational training she could find. In the end, she found Ashiatsu to offer both the therapist and the client the best experience.
Now in her 50's, working with her feet is the best alternative to deep tissue techniques. In 2004, Terie registered for her first Ashiatsu Massage Class with Michelle D. Mace. Once she got the hang of it, she was amazed at how deep and easy the massage was to apply. She knew that this was going to change everything. Working with her feet opened a whole new world of possibilities.
Later, she continued her training in Oregon and Washington. She went on to learn other hand-saving modalities. These modalities included Bamboossage® and Fijian Barefoot Massage. She then added Fijian and Warm Bamboo massage to her menu of services.
In 2006, she loved the work so much; she became an instructor for The Barefoot Masters®. She taught workshops in Ashiatsu, Bamboo, and Fijian massage. Terie wanted to share her experiences with other LMT's. She marveled at the ah-ha moment on her own student's faces.
"It is a privilege to teach. I find it so rewarding to know that my students are not just saving their bodies. But also extending their careers. So please join me for one or all the classes I offer. My teaching facility is in beautiful Santa Ynez, CA. In the heart of California's wine country, over the hill from Santa Barbara.
